IPRA Sports Committee coordinated the annual youth spot shot basketball state finals on Saturday, April 5, 2008. The event was held at the Grinnell Athletic and Recreation Center (GARC) in Grinnell, Iowa.  Over 400 parents/guardians and family members came to watch and cheer on the more than 200 competitors.  Youth advanced fdirectly rom their local competiton where they placed first or second in their respective age/gender division.  Volunteers from the Grinnell High School softball team provided the greater than 80 people needed to administer the event.  Placement plaques (first through fourth) were given in each age/gender division.  All children received a certificate of participation.
