Scholarship Information

In the up coming academic year, IPRA is pleased to offer three higher education scholarships for a total of $2,500.

Individuals must be a current student member of IPRA.  To become a member, you can register on-line through this Web site or print/complete/send an application to the IPRA office.

Students must have at least one semester of schooling left before they are to graduate.  Applicants do not need to reside or attend an Iowa college, university or community college.  But they do need to be a current IPRA student member ($35).

The four scholarships we offer are:

• Kathryn Krieg Membership Scholarship - $1000
• MUSCO / Outdoor Recreation Products Scholarship - $750
• Iowa Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Scholarship - $750

Kathryn Krieg Member Scholarship Fund Drive - 2010

• 100% of the drive will be placed in to the IPRA scholarship fund reserve
• Donations are fully tax deductible to the extent law allows

Eligibiltiy requirements:

1. complete an official IPRA scholarship application form
2. Applications will be due to Mr. Andy Lueth, Committee Chair, 4:00 p.m., February 26, 2010
3. have a minimum of one semester or summer term left to complete when the scholarship is awarded
4. be a current student member of Iowa Park and Recreation Association
5. the Scholarship committee reserves the right to assign specific scholarships to respective recipients
6. all recipients will be notified by March 9, 2010

Scholarship Presentations:

All recipients are encouraged to attend the IPRA Awards Banquet which will be held at the Sioux City Convention Center, in Sioux City, Iowa.  Awards Banquet is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, April 13, 2010.  Each recipient will receive two complimentary banquet dinner tickets in addition to $50.00 for traveling expenses.
